On feeling unloved.

From Holly Le's blog:

January 5, 2010

When my heart breaks, 30 puppy dogs and 50 of the smallest, cutest kittens die. World wars begin. Any rainforest in South America disappears. The endangered animals become extinct. China takes back another baby panda. Dinosaur bones crumble. Pirates cry. Your favorite band breaks up. America loses hope when I don’t have love.

And that’s why I’m done with Planet Earth. I’m moving to Pandora where I’m going to trade in my bicycle for a red dragon. I am going to lose the life of the lonely swank and adopt a life of artisan crafting called “blacksmithing.” My red dragon will be named “King Koopa” and I will magically weld things to my hearts desire. While everything is neon pink and blue at night, the daytime will be filled with baby tumbleweeds and dandelion weeds where I blow them away until I get what I actually want.

It’s only because this planet doesn’t love me.
